MORPHOSIS ARCHITECTS (X-TECH Construction)

Carpenter/Fabricator

As a part of the fabrication team at Morphosis Architects I was responsible for the building and packing/shipping, of the small and large scale models of past, on-going, and conceptual projects. As the Carpenter of the shop I provided aid and guidance in safety and fabrication solutions to seasonally circulating interns during their time in the shop. We regularly used a variety of wood shop tools and machinery as well as lasercutters, 3D printers and CNC machines (with the supervision of Lead Fabricators) to manipulate wood, acrylic, metal, Corian, foam, and other synthetic and compound materials. All models were crated and shipped to off-site destinations, mostly overseas.
